Mission of Mecry
A world away, Mark and Huldah Buntain arrived in Calcutta, India, one of the largest, neediest cities in the world. Their hearts were broken as they saw the desperate health, education, social and spiritual needs of streets filled with people without hope. A relationship between the Buntains and the Foundation started and grew to the point where that ministry became the single largest recipient of the Foundation's funding. Mission of Mercy was incorporated in 1982 and merged with the Foundation in 1990, expanding their vision to include other parts of the world.
Today, Mission of Mercy has become a world-wide Christian relief agency bringing hope to people in need. Driven by compassion, Mission of Mercy now reaches into the world’s most poverty-stricken nations. Currently, Mission of Mercy operates in more than 19 nations of the world, providing hope to more than 40,000 children! Our sponsorship program not only provides for the basic needs of forgotten children of poverty, but it also provides these precious children with encouragement and hope.
Mission of Mercy is a principal provider of services to children in desperate need. Mission of Mercy’s model is one of holistic ministry. The heart and driving motivation of the holistic approach is to first meet a child’s needs, and then to introduce children to Christ where they will find real hope. Through construction, development, food distribution, medical aid, child sponsorships, education and evangelism; God’s love is shared.
